         Main Definitions

  1. humidity |n| a quantity representing the amount of water vapour in the atmosphere or a gas.
  2. "An uncomfortably high amount of relative humidity: It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity that tires me out."
  3. damp |n| moisture diffused through the air or a solid substance or condensed on a surface, typically with detrimental or unpleasant effects.
  4. "Hotter, drier summers will bring an increased risk of property subsidence, while wetter winters may cause damp , condensation and mould problems."
  5. muggy |adj| unpleasantly warm and humid.
